Residency Prize Draw Terms

1. Promoter. The draw is run by Ashton and Associates Ltd, trading as General Assembly London ("General Assembly").

2. Who can enter. Anyone aged 18 or over who has applied to the Loire Valley Spring Residency 2027 by paying the application fee and submitting their application. You must have applied yourself to be entered.

3. How to enter.
- Tell an artist friend about the residency.
- When your friend applies, they enter your @Instagram handle or email address under "Who referred you?" at checkout. Use the handle or email you gave on your own application.
- You receive one entry for each friend who applies and names you. There is no limit on entries. Only the person who refers gets entries, not the friend they refer.
- A friend counts once, and only after their application is submitted and their fee is paid. You can't refer yourself, and applications that don't name you don't count.
- Entries are counted for applications received between 16 October 2026 and 23:59 UK time (GMT) on 30 November 2026.

4. The prize. Three prizes. Each is one 1-on-1 virtual studio visit and mentoring session with Melanie Ashton and Lucie Touroul, lasting one hour, held by video call on a date agreed with the winner by 20 December 2026. There is no cash alternative, and the prize can't be transferred.

5. The draw. Three winners will be drawn at random from all entries on or around 20 December 2026. Each person can win only one prize: if someone is drawn more than once, another winner is drawn. Winners will be told by email within 7 days. If a winner doesn't reply within 7days, another winner may be drawn.

6. Selection is separate. The draw has no effect on selection for the residency. Applications are assessed on the work alone, and being referred, referring others or winning a prize doesn't improve or reduce anyone's chance of being selected.

7. Your data. We use your name and email only to run the draw and contact winners, and keep them in line with our privacy policy. Privacy policy

8. General. General Assembly's decision on all matters relating to the draw is final. We may change these terms or withdraw the draw if circumstances outside our control require it, and will say so on this page. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
