Jan Urant creates layered paintings through repeated cycles of painting, washing away and rebuilding surfaces with dry pigments. His dreamlike compositions draw on memory, personal narrative and imagined figures. He completed an MA at Chelsea College of Arts in 2013 and lives and works between Wiltshire and Prague.
